Andy is a co-founding director of Abrahams Russell. He graduated from Sheffield University with a First Class degree in Law and trained as a lawyer with Freshfields, joining the Litigation Department after qualifying.

He left legal practice in 1994 to join ZMB, then one of the two leading legal recruitment consultancies in the UK. He progressed through the company to become a director in 1998 and, after ZMB’s acquisition by Hays Plc in 2000, remained as a director,
co-managing the Law Firm team and overseeing international expansion.

Over the last decade, he has recruited partners and teams for many UK, US and International law firms. Andy is married with two children and is a keen, but often lonely, supporter of Oxford United.
